What You’ll Do:
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will manage the cloud security implementation for multiple cloud environments to include AWS, Azure, and classified platforms. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software development practices and tools for Slingshot’s software development lifecycle.&nbsp;
Position Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Executes all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
Work within Engineering teams to interweave security with the scalability, performance, reliability, and functional requirements to virtualized/cloud computing solutions
Leverage industry best practices and experience to ensure that security is baked into deliverables from the start and that each product and program fully embrace a DevSecOps and “shift-left on security” mentality
Develop automated build and test pipeline strategies including aspects of security and compliance to ensure viability of cloud deployment solutions
Secure and manage cloud-native resource on providers like AWS and Azure through infrastructure-as-code and compliance-as-code
Administer and support developer and user access to cloud resources
Leverage observability tools to monitor security metrics for applications virtualized resources
Participate in Agile software develop and deployment processes
Provide ongoing support for the services and applications that are critical to our business needs
Communicate methods, findings, and hypotheses with stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)
Pre-Requisites
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance or be eligible and willing to obtain one
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of professional experience in a DevSecOps or similar role
Experience with container security practices within Kubernetes and Helm
Experience with security configuration of AWS Cloud Native Technologies
Deep working knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions)
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks including Terraform
Good understanding of networking, routing, firewalls, VPN, SSL
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript) used in DevSecOps life cycles
Keen attention to detail and industry best practices pertaining to privacy, security, and compliance
Skill and comfort working in a rapidly moving startup environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users
Preferred Skills
Degree in computer science or related field
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with asynchronous processing and/or data streaming technologies, such as AWS Kinesis, Kafka, or ZeroMQ, KNative
Experience with securing data platforms, microservices, distributed systems and deploying into classified cloud environments
Experience with security audits/certifications such as SOC 2 Type 2, FedRAMP, CMMC 2.0, ISO 27001
Early-stage data-centric startup experience

Salary Range:  $129,502 - $144,444

<li>Debug and troubleshoot any software bugs identified in network or full-stack software</li>
<li>Collaborate across various sub-systems and address any pain-points through ground software applications focusing on automation.</li>

<p>AST SpaceMobile is looking to hire a Principal Engineer with experience in full-stack development who will be responsible for a large portion of software and infrastructure to support Ground Software and Mission Operations. Given this, a successful candidate for this position will have familiarity with software design principles and some familiarity with operations development.&nbsp; The candidate will be an integral member of the Ground Software Team, which is responsible for the software used to assist in communication and control of our satellites. The candidate will have a large amount of latitude in terms of how they choose to develop systems, so they must be a self-starter and willing to lead efforts to develop new systems.&nbsp; This candidate will be expected to have a few direct reports and also work with software teams in our India division as well.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement software applications in support of mission operations for constellation-based satellites</li>
<li>Design, implement and maintain a network infrastructure in support of ground to satellite communication systems</li>
<li>Debug and troubleshoot any software bugs identified in network or full-stack software</li>

<li>Be one of the leaders within the ground software group (US and India)</li>
<li>Be a strong individual contributor (70% contribution, 30 % managerial)</li>

Job description

AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.

Summary:
AST SpaceMobile is looking to hire a Principal Engineer with experience in full-stack development who will be responsible for a large portion of software and infrastructure to support Ground Software and Mission Operations. Given this, a successful candidate for this position will have familiarity with software design principles and some familiarity with operations development.&nbsp; The candidate will be an integral member of the Ground Software Team, which is responsible for the software used to assist in communication and control of our satellites. The candidate will have a large amount of latitude in terms of how they choose to develop systems, so they must be a self-starter and willing to lead efforts to develop new systems.&nbsp; This candidate will be expected to have a few direct reports and also work with software teams in our India division as well.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
Design and implement software applications in support of mission operations for constellation-based satellites
Design, implement and maintain a network infrastructure in support of ground to satellite communication systems
Debug and troubleshoot any software bugs identified in network or full-stack software
Collaborate across various sub-systems and address any pain-points through ground software applications focusing on automation.
Be one of the leaders within the ground software group (US and India)
Be a strong individual contributor (70% contribution, 30 % managerial)
Track project deliverables across the team
Provide technical guidance and help uphold industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 10 years' experience in an application development position
Must have at least 3 years of space experience
Strong software engineering experience
Proficiency in implementing DevOps systems
Proficiency with version control systems
Proficiency with Networking concepts and Fundamentals
Proficiency in Full Stack development
Experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or other programming languages
Experience with frameworks such as:

NodeJS, FastAPI, NestJS, Fiber
Express, OpenAPI, Swagger, TypeORM
Angular, Vue, React
Flutter, Swift, Android Studio
Experience with concurrent (multithreaded) programming practices and libraries
Experience using Cloud Providers (specifically AWS)
Experience with containerization such as Docker
Comfortable working on different operating systems such as Linux and Windows depending on the task.
Experience using both relational and non-relational databases
Experience with centralized logging systems (Splunk/ Elasticsearch)
Must be a U.S Citizen or be a Permanent Resident Card holder

Proficiency with implementing DevOps concepts complex environments

Experience developing platform agnostic applications (works on iOS, android and web)
Strong front-end design and development experience
