The Role

As a member of the Migration Advisory team, the&nbsp;Migration Advisory Specialist&nbsp;works with Azul’s most important customers, ensuring a smooth and expedited transition to Azul technology. This role requires a broad range of technical skills, careful inter-departmental coordination, and practiced customer focus.
What You’ll Do (aka Responsibilities)
Help customers migrate to Azul technology
Advise on migration strategy and planning
Lead troubleshooting sessions and investigations
Be a trusted technical advisor for customers
Provide recommendations on best practices
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Support to transition new customers
Provide internal updates on customer migrations
Maintain internal knowledge base
Report on migration activity
Offer product and tooling recommendations to product management

Extensive scripting experience
Experience with asset management tools (e.g., Flexera)
Strong project management skills
Java deployment experience
Experience with legacy Java technologies (e.g., Applets, Web Start)

What You'll Do:

Implement microservices from design to production
Own development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations

Who You Are:

Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in backend software, with a proven track record of designing and building scalable, high-performance systems
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Python, Java, C++, or C#
Solid programming foundations: data-structures, multi-threading, OOP and design patterns
Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with related tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Github actions
Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL/MySQL)
Experienced with low-level performance optimizations, including profiling and memory analysis
Expertise with cloud platforms: AWS, Serverless, Kubernetes
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to drive work forward independently in a cross-functional, geographically distributed team environment

Compensation and Benefits:
