Software Engineer, Backend - Data Layer
📋 Description
- Design, build, and maintain backend services for process data
- Own engineering initiatives end to end from design to delivery
- Improve how data is processed, retained, and streamed for customers
- Boost performance and scalability of storage systems; build observability tooling
- Troubleshoot data-layer production issues and on-call rotations
- Collaborate with Product, Support, SRE, QA, and other teams
🎯 Requirements
- At least 4 years of backend software engineering experience
- Hands-on with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch
- Understanding of query performance, indexing, data modeling, and execution plans
- Experience delivering complex engineering initiatives with requirements analysis and design
- Ability to troubleshoot data-related production issues and bottlenecks
- Strong communication and remote-work collaboration skills
