Senior Staff Performance Engineer, Firefox
📋 Description
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, profile and analyze performance bottlenecks
- Learn about a wide variety of problems across a large, evolving codebase
- Use languages such as C++, JavaScript, Kotlin, Rust, Python to fix perf issues
- Educate engineers on writing faster code via reviews, talks, tooling, docs
- Define and drive actionable next steps from high level objectives
- Collaborate with teams to lead performance efforts
🎯 Requirements
- BS/MS in CS/CE and 7+ years relevant experience
- Mastered C++ and understanding of JavaScript
- Proven performance-critical software development experience
- Experimental mindset: measure, diagnose, and prove solutions via experiments
- Strong debugging and profiling skills (VTune, Xperf, etc.)
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, I/O, GPU
