Scala Software Engineer
We 7re hiring Scala Software Engineers to join a high performing team working on large scale, business critical systems. This role is ideal for engineers with strong hands on Scala experience who enjoy working on complex platforms, contributing to modern engineering practices, and delivering secure, scalable solutions at scale. The role comes with a potential to convert to a permanent position after 12 months, subject to performance and business need.
What You 7ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Scala based applications
- Building and enhancing services using the Play Framework
- Working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to deployment
- Collaborating with cross functional teams including developers, testers, DevOps, and product owners
- Writing clean, well tested, and maintainable code
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
- Troubleshooting issues and contributing to continuous improvement
- Working within Agile delivery teams aligned to modern engineering standards
What We 7re Looking For
- Strong hands on commercial experience with Scala
- Experience working with the Play Framework
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in Agile, collaborative teams
- Security Clearance (SC) eligibility is highly preferred, but not essential
