Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that support enterprise applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building microservices-based architectures using Java and Spring Boot, modernizing legacy systems, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS. This role requires deep backend engineering expertise, strong SQL/database knowledge, and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, high-performance application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for scalable and resilient systems.
• Modernize and refactor legacy systems into cloud-native, service-oriented solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database models using PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Integrate backend services with front-end and third-party systems via RESTful APIs.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with legacy system modernization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and backend security practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Educational Qualifications:

• Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
• Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

Travel:

·   Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
