Staff Back End Engineer
As a Staff Backend Engineer on the Ads team, you will be responsible for developing the next iterations of our ads products with improved retrieval speed, relevance, and scale while also helping us expand our product portfolio to new surfaces and formats, while building a great advertising experience for our brands.

Qualifications
- You will own the end to end technical roadmap for a fast growing, business critical ads product
- You’ll build an infrastructure that supports state-of-the-art algorithms, while enhancing ads performance and relevance.
- You’ll optimize existing infrastructure for efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
- You’ll build strong cross functional partnerships with data science, product managers, and machine learning engineers to understand, prioritize and deliver on critical business needs
- You want to leverage machine learning to help local retailers and independent brands succeed
- You want to be a foundational team member of a fast growing company
- You like to solve challenging problems related to a two-sided marketplace
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with 3+ years as a technical leader leading complex cross-departmental projects that impact critical business metrics
- 3+ years of industry experience working across components of an ads system which may include Ads Delivery, Ads formats, and Ads Reporting and measurement
- Preferably, you have helped scale an ads product from 0 to a major portfolio of products within a larger tech organization
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and experience partnering with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deliver impactful ads products
- The ability to contribute and execute on team strategy through others without supervision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others in a closely collaborative team environment
