Associate Engineer
The Associate Engineer role is an entry-level position designed for individuals starting their career in technology and engineering. This role focuses on supporting technical delivery across multiple domains, including software development, testing, DevOps, and business analysis. The position provides hands-on experience in agile environments, enabling the individual to learn, contribute, and grow while working on real-world projects and supporting operational technology needs.
Responsibilities
- Support technical delivery across development, testing, DevOps, and business analysis.
- Learn and contribute effectively within agile delivery teams.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software changes or features.
- Participate in capturing business requirements using user stories and use cases.
- Contribute to the development and execution of test cases to ensure quality.
- Provide support for desktop technology and applications.
- Respond to technical issues and manage them through to resolution.
- Assist with service reporting and basic data collation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support planning and prioritization using agile tooling.
Experience / Competences
- Essential
- Degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
- General computing skills and understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office O365.
- Ability to act with integrity and diligence in all duties.
- Desired
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Exposure to agile methodologies and tooling.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework.
- Knowledge of audio/video conferencing technologies.
- Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCP, MCSA).
- Contribution to open-source projects or professional development experience.
