You’ll work with people across Oak to help them to track, measure and understand the impact of their work using data analysis, data visualisation, and communication skills.

This is a hands-on role with opportunities to work across the data life-cycle, from data collection, cleaning and transformation, analysis, and presentation. You'll have the opportunity to hone both your technical and interpersonal skills in the exciting Ed-Tech field.

💡What you'll be doing:

• Lead on ensuring data, analytics and data science drive knowledge, insights and shared context for the organisation, including enabling insight-driven product development across independent product squads.

• Produce and maintain high-quality datasets, models and visualisations that support the development of digital products and 3rd party educational research.

• Ensure organisational data and datasets are brought together, organised effectively and can be used interoperably.

• Responsible for the continuous improvement and quality of Oak’s data pipelines, datasets, and internal data products, from data definition through to insight generation.

• Develop and manage a high-performing analytics function, including supporting the development of other data professionals across Oak.

• As a member of the Oak Team, you will contribute to the wider success and culture of the organisation.

• Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.

• Deputise for the Head of Data and take on other general responsibilities as required.

🌱 What we're looking for

You'll have strong professional experience turning data into decisions, comfortable owning a data pipeline end to end and confident presenting insight to non-technical stakeholders.

Beyond that, you'll bring:

• 3+ years holding responsibility for the continuous improvement of data analysis, insights, visualisation and data science.

• Experience in recruiting, developing and managing a high-performing team of data analysts and scientists.

• Highly capable with Google BigQuery, SQL and data visualisation tools, and confident in writing complex queries.

• Writing production-quality data modelling code with an eye towards performance, maintainability and scalability.

• Proven success using exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and Machine Learning techniques to solve complex problems and formalise and automate solutions.

The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute across all areas to ensure Oak's success. You will be comfortable moving quickly and with agility, and be confident working with a range of digital systems (including proprietary ones, as required). You will continually look for ways that the team can keep getting better. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.
