• Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading vector database offering.
• Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with vector similarity on large-scale search platforms.
• Professional experience with vector similarity algorithms (HNSW, IVF) on search platforms.
• Strong core Java skills and knowledge of data structures and concurrency.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and guide design/work with other engineers.
• Collaborative, asynchronous and cross-functional teamwork experience.
• Experience with storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
