Senior Backend Engineer - Platform Security

We are looking for product-focused systems engineers and to work on Teleport Core Product. You will focus on problems related to application security for Teleport. You will implement security controls and work with security researchers to find and fix security vulnerabilities. Teleport is an open core project, and most of the code you will write will be open source and written in Go.

• Become an expert on everything related to application security at Teleport.
• Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.
• Write most of the code in Go.
• Closely collaborate with other teams at Teleport on matters related to application security.
• Master and thoughtfully apply technological advancements in the AI space.
• Grow your technical expertise.

What we 7re looking for

• Willingness to work collaboratively with Teleport's engineers on coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process.
• Extensive Go experience.
• Extensive experience developing scalable distributed systems and platforms with the focus on application security.
• Linux systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
• Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.

Nice to have

• Secure design and threat modeling experience
• Vulnerability research experience
• Applied Cryptography knowledge
• Significant contributions in Open Source.
