Backend Developer

Working within one of our product-based development squads, you’ll be responsible for delivering one of Acorn’s market-leading specialist insurance products. You’ll develop software as part of our backend C# .NET 8 Azure-based eco-system. You’ll need to be a strong team worker and problem solver, keen to continuously learn and adapt.

What You Will Be Doing

Writing quality code built to specification
Writing unit and integration tests
Contributing to daily scrum meetings
Demonstrating your working software
Contributing to sprint planning with tasks and estimations
Being part of the wider Acorn back-end development community

Required Technical Skills

C#
.NET Core plus knowledge of Framework
Web API experience
Micro-service experience/understanding
Unit and integration testing
SQL/SQL Server

It Would Be Very Beneficial to Have Experience of Some of the Following Technologies and Patterns

Clean Architecture
Mediator Pattern
MassTransit
General experience in highly data intensive applications
